About Tom

Keynote speaker, theatre maker, trainer and change adviser from Enschede, in the Netherlands. He works as TOMdenker (“Tom-thinker”).

The story

Within eighteen months, Tom lost both his parents and his wife

It did not break him. When he stopped pushing his pain away and looked at it differently, his energy changed. That was the beginning of the turning point.

Tom Zwolman leaning against a tree, in black and white

  1. LossHis parents and his wife, within eighteen months.
  2. Standing stillNot fleeing, but looking. What is going on here?
  3. The turning pointA new way of seeing, and a new energy.
  4. A philosophy of his ownFour years of work on a guide: the five essentials.
  5. Passing it onOn stage, in training and in conversation.

From it grew a philosophy of living: powerful and light. Over four years Tom built his own body of work around it: the five essentials, The Turning Point and Germination.

He does not tell the story to be pitied or to shock. He tells it because it proves something: you can change how you live, think and act.
